ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a Strategic Account Manager. In this position, you will be responsible for identifying and capturing new revenue opportunities within strategic accounts by actively managing relationships and building awareness in key business units. You will work closely with other members of the customer development team to grow revenue with assigned accounts and territories. Having a science or engineering background is a requirement for this position, and you must be willing to travel on a regular basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Identify and capture new revenue opportunities within strategic accounts.
• Develop and execute account plans to drive revenue growth.
• Work in a team environment with inside sales to grow revenue within assigned accounts/territory.
• Develop key product coaches to drive adoption and expansion.
• Set up meetings, demo products and work with prospects to understand needs and opportunities.
• Continually build and apply product and domain knowledge to improve prospecting.
• Stay current on competitive offerings and industry trends in target markets.
• Prepare, present and negotiate proposals and contracts.
• Work with product management and technical support to meet customer needs.
• Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s CRM.
• Accept full accountability to meet or exceed established sales quotas.
• Travel 25%-50% of the time visiting customers and prospects to understand the critical business needs and to increase license utilization and revenue.

QUALIFICATIONS
• 2+ years of managing and growing strategic accounts (CAE market preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in engineering, math or science
• Strong account planning and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills (including writing, speaking and presentations)
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-through skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with engineers and scientists
• Ability to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches
• Must be able to travel throughout North America
• Team player with drive, conviction and positive energy
• Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas
